When I run the setup file, it is for another program.

This article deals with an installation where the wrong program attempts to install.

When you download the latest version of Memory-Map you may find on some rare occasions that on running the setup file the installation wizard for another program appears instead of Memory-Map's.

In Windows explorer, right-click on the file and select "Properties". Click on the "Digital Signatures" tab. The file should be signed by Memory-Map, Inc.

If it has the right signature, you have downloaded the right file. If not download it again from https://w2.memory-map.com/download/mmnav_v544_b1113.exe.

If the digital signature after downloading is correct, but the problem persists, download this different instaler:https://w2.memory-map.com/download/mmnav_v544_b1113.msi

Do not "run" or "open" the file directly from the browser, but save it in a place where it will remain permanently on your computer. Then double-click it to open.

Another remidy is to empty the temporary folder on your PC. To do this:

1) Cancel the installation wizard if you have not already.

2) Open My Computer and right-click on your C: drive and select Properties from the menu. On the Properties window click the Disk Cleanup button.

3) Disk cleanup will take a few moments to scan your PC and see how much space it can cleanup for you. When the options appear to choose what to clean up untick everything except Temporary Files (you can select other options if you wish but they are not necessary to this fix).

4) When the process has finished close the My Computer window and then run the downloaded Memory-Map file again to begin the installation.
