Something new in the Android is the Nav screen view. This is a departure from the pop-up windows of the Windows Mobile versions and the "flip" screen of the iPhone / iPad.
The Android app Nav screen is a "pull down" from the top of the screen (in either portrait or landscape mode). To pull the screen, touch the map screen and a tab will appear.

Pull the tab down to expose as much or as little of the window as you like. Once you have the portion open that you need, you can tap the tab to toggle the window open / shut to this desired position. The window will always expose the data screen from the top down (pulling the tab down further exposes more of the window).
NOTE: The Nav screen views for portrait mode and landscape mode are independent. The layout can be customized for each view. When you pull down the window for one mode, it does not affect the other view (i.e. you can open one window fully and the other partially). If you close one window, it does not close the window in the other view.

If you would like to change the layout so you can put your more important information at the top, do the following:
1) Tap and hold on the Nav window. This will bring up the following menu.

2) Select Change Data to show this view.

3) Clicking on one of the blue arrows gives you a selection list.

When this screen first displays, it will be selected to the item already displayed in that window. You can resize this item, or select a new item to display in this window. Closing this view will save the new layout.
From the menu, you can also save the new layout or load a saved layout. This allows you to create multiple layouts and use them as desired for different environments. You can also restore the default layout if you want to start all over. Your saved layouts will be found in your Download / Memory-Map folder (show as a DVTF file) and can be shared with friends and colleagues. They are also interchangeable between the iPhone and Android.
The versatility is incredible. Please take some time and have a play to find the view that suits you best.
