Update Policy

Software - Memory-Map software is under continual development and evolution. We release updates or new versions approximately 3 times a year. These are freely available to existing users.
In your existing software, see Web > Check for Updates. Selecting this will query the version you have against the current version available for download and advise you of your options.

Topographic Maps - Topo maps are updated approximately every 3 years or as important new map releases become available.

Street Maps - Street maps are applied in a supporting role to the topographic products and therefore have a similar update cycle.

Marine Charts are updated on a rolling program with updates released each year.

Availability - In general, you may exchange your old edition for the equivalent current edition DVD set at 50% of the prevailing recommended retail price at any time up to 5 years from purchase. Specific information is detailed below.

How do I know what edition I have?

There may be an indication of this on the packaging or in Memory-Map, with the map in question on screen, select Map > Edit Map Properties and read the edition number. If no edition number is recorded please refer to the date shown in the copyright statements.

QuickCharts NZ

Edition 2010, released 15th November 2009

All charts that have been subject to correction or publication since the previous edition have been updated. This edition also sees the addition of Auckland, Campbell and Chatham islands to the folio.

Topo NZ

Edition 3, released 1st October 2009

In addition to the publication of the all new Topo50 maps, this release splits NZ Topo into two classifications; Premium and Standard where Premium retains the Aerial photography and Street mapping and Standard is simply topographic maps. All NZ Street maps were also updated in this release.

Topo Victoria

Edition 2, released 1st September 2009

This edition sees the long awaited revision to the VicMap 1:25,000 topographic map which in addition to a general update, now includes track names and other annotations that were missing in the earlier edition (which was covered by the 50k map in the previous edition and therefore no longer required in this edition).

Existing users may download this 2nd edition 25k map
free of charge from the Digital Map Shop.

QuickCharts M16 East Australia

Edition 2, released 25th May 2009

This edition not only updates all the charts for the region but brings a significant change in regional coverage. It replaces: M10-Vic & Tas, M11-NSW, M12-QLD South, M13-QLD North and M14-NSW & South QLD with just one set covering all these regions at the same RRP.
