Here is the current and previous versions of the Memory-Map software, for users of Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Win7. As well as the PC software, this download includes Pocket Navigator for Windows Mobile devices and a World basemap.
When upgrading, it is best to uninstall the previous version before installing this one. (To uninstall, click Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs, select Memory-Map and click Remove)
Your existing maps, licenses and user data will not be effected by removing or updating the software.
Memory-Map Mobile for WinCE Devices
WARNING Devices running the Windows CE core operating system (typically PNDs or car navigators) are not supported in general as WinCE is not a standardised operating system. However, we have developed and ported a version to some specific devices (i.e. the Holux GPS and the Hema Navigator).
It's available here in support of those units (for upgrade and repair) and you are welcome to try it in other devices (together with some free maps available below). However for other devises, it is supplied on an "as is basis" with no guarantees that it will work satisfactory on any particular device.
Memory-Map build - for the Adventurer GPS
Holux build - for the Holux Fun Trek Range of GPS
Hema Navigator build - for both HN1 and HN5 units
Principles for installation - Download one of the above builds, unzip and copy all files and folders to the route of an SD card. Create a "Maps" folder and place some maps in it. That's all there is to it. However, this assumes that the launch button is configured to find the executable. If you're using any other brand of device you will need to either redefine the target for the launch button or disguise the name and path of the Memory-Map executable to the one set for the existing launch button. For more info on the wider subject of loading maps to a SD card, please see the Knowledge base

Data components - To get the full potential out of the maps you download from the Digital Map Shop, you will want the data components that enable the 3D World and Place Name Index features. At present we are unable to deliver these components via the DMS (but we're working on it) and so make them available here. Simply download the component and copy (unzipped) the files into the same folder as the associated maps on your PC or Mobile Device.
