Transfer maps from an old iPhone to a new iPhone.

This article deals with moving maps from your old iPhone to a new iPhone.

If you have a new iPhone and wish to move your downloaded Digital Map Shop maps from the old iPhone to the new one, follow the steps below:

1) Install the Memory-Map app on your new iPhone and then run the app.

2) Sign into your account by "flipping" the screen and selecting the SETTINGS ICON (GEARS) > MAP LICENSES > SIGN IN.  (Use the same user ID and password you used on your old iPhone.)

3) Close the app.  Then, on your computer bring up your web browser and go to our CONTROL PANEL PAGE.

4) Log in with the same user ID and password as you use in the app on the iPhone.  Click the MIGRATE LICENSE button.

5) In the Old Machine/Device Name box select your old iPhone.  Then, in the New Machine/Device Name select your new iPhone.  Click MIGRATE LICENSE and then CONFIRM MIGRATION.  You will be asked to download a file.  You can ignore this request and close the browser.

When you next start the app on your iPhone it will automatically download the licences for the maps.

UK users please NOTE:  You will need to re-download the areas of mapping you had before. Provided you download the same areas as before you will not be charged for the download. If you try to download an area that you did not originally download on your old iPhone, you will be asked to activate the additional area.  If you originally copied the maps from the PC, you will need to repeat this process.
